One of Mount Pleasant's most established addresses

Snee Farm was developed in the 1970s around what was once Snee Farm Plantation, the same land where Charles Pinckney, a signer of the U.S. Constitution, lived and farmed. The history runs deep here, literally rooted in the landscape: the mature tree canopy that most newer Mount Pleasant communities cannot replicate, the established lots with genuine character, the sense that this neighborhood has been somewhere long enough to know what it is.

At the center is the Snee Farm Country Club, golf, tennis, pool, and a social calendar that draws residents who want something beyond a subdivision amenity package. Membership is separate from home ownership, but for many buyers, the club is part of the calculation.

Why buyers choose Snee Farm

Location is a significant part of the answer. Snee Farm sits in the middle of Mount Pleasant, close to the bridge, close to the beaches, close to the schools. It does not require a choice between convenience and community. Buyers here get both.

The price range is accessible relative to neighborhoods like I'On or Old Village, which is part of what makes Snee Farm attractive to a wide range of buyers, families upgrading from smaller homes, retirees downsizing from larger ones, and buyers relocating to the Charleston area who want an established community with strong resale history.

School zoning matters here. Snee Farm is zoned for Wando High School, consistently one of the top-ranked public high schools in South Carolina. For buyers with children, verify the specific address before making an offer, district boundaries can shift.

The Snee Farm market

Snee Farm has consistent demand and consistent resale. Homes here do not sit. The inventory turns at a pace that reflects genuine buyer interest, not a hot market that inflates everything, but a steady market that rewards quality and pricing discipline.

The homes themselves vary significantly. Ranch homes from the original development era sit alongside larger renovated properties and some newer construction on infill lots. Knowing the difference, what has been updated, what needs updating, and what is priced to reflect that accurately, is where good representation earns its value.

I am building my practice in this neighborhood

Snee Farm is a neighborhood I am committed to understanding at depth. I am not a generalist covering all of Mount Pleasant. I am an agent building specific knowledge in specific communities, and Snee Farm is one of them. When you are ready to talk about buying or selling here, I want to be the name that already feels familiar.
